CUBIC WEIGHT - For large light-weight consignments rates are calculated on the greater value between the actual (dead) weight of the consignment and the cubic weight measured in kilograms.
HOW DO WE CALCULATE THE CUBIC WEIGHT? -To calculate the cubic weight, simply multiply the WIDTH by the LENGTH by the HEIGHT of your shipment (in centimetres) and then divide by 4000. Our cubic conversion factor is 250 kilograms per cubic metre. Our charges reflect the greater of either the actual weight OR the cubic weight.
Sample
This shipment measures 50cm long X 40 cm wide X 30 cm high.
and It's actual weight is 10 kilograms.
Thus 50 X 40 X 30 / 4000 = 15 kgs. ( The chargeable weight ) .
Our "Cubic Calculator" can assist you with your calculations. Simply enter the Height, Length and Width in centimetres. Enter the Actual Weight in kilograms. Click on the Calculate button.

For NSW metro if the Chargeable weight is more than 25kg we will use Direct Freight instead of Ross Freight. |
